Where Media Meets Community *

I’m Everett Christiansen, a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduating with a B.S. in Communication and a minor in Sociology. My work focuses on content creation and brand promotion through photography, videography, and social media management. I’ve applied these skills while collaborating with nonprofits and small businesses to help them tell their stories and connect with their audiences.

Beyond academics, I strive to maintain balance and leadership in all areas of my life. I played basketball during my freshman year at Covenant College and currently serve as captain of the UTC cheerleading team, where I’ve strengthened my teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.

Originally from Lookout Mountain, Georgia, I’m passionate about community and creativity, and I’m eager to pursue communication opportunities where I can create meaningful impact and continue growing as a media professional.

This project, created in my video production class at UTC, involved selecting an assignment and recreating it using the original audio. While directing presented challenges, it was a rewarding experience that allowed me to demonstrate my video production skills and passion for film.

In 2020, I served as the lead student for Dade County High School’s entry in the Georgia School Board Association video contest, where our team placed 4th out of 51 submissions. I contributed both as director and voice-over talent, collaborating with scriptwriter Josee Biddle, DCHS students and staff, and Dr. Jan Harris on cinematography. This experience strengthened my leadership, storytelling, and production skills, while showing my ability to guide a team and deliver a recognized, award-winning project.
